About Catherine Reese
A highly skilled traveling surgeon, Dr. Catherine Reese brings decades of expertise in advanced surgical procedures. She earned her veterinary degree from Tufts University in 1995 after completing her undergraduate studies at Cornell University. She then pursued an internship at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston, followed by a surgical residency at Cornell University, becoming board-certified in small animal surgery by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2001.
Dr. Reese spent nearly 12 years as a staff surgeon at Angell Memorial, where she also served as the director of the Surgery Residency Program, training over 30 board-certified surgeons. She remains actively involved in professional organizations, including the AVMA, MVMA, NHVMA, and multiple surgical societies.
Her surgical expertise spans orthopedic, neurologic, and soft tissue procedures, including fracture repair, laryngeal tieback surgery, brachycephalic airway correction, oncologic surgery, and advanced cranial cruciate ligament repairs (TPLO & TTA). She prides herself on compassionate patient care and clear communication with pet owners.
At home, Dr. Reese enjoys life with her husband and son. In her free time, she loves traveling, gardening, playing softball, and golfing.
