Nashua End-of-Life Pet Care
At All Pets Veterinary Hospital, we’re here to support you and your pet through all stages of his life, including the difficult ones. We know that saying goodbye to a beloved companion is never easy. That’s why we’re determined to make this process as convenient as possible with our end-of-life care services. When your dog or cat becomes in need of special care at the end of his life, we offer hospice care. And when it’s time to bid that final farewell, we offer euthanasia.
In-Home Pet Hospice Care
Our hospice services provide comfort and quality-of-life care for the terminally ill pet when we decide with you that treatment is no longer a suitable option for your companion. Your dog or cat will be able to live out his life peacefully in the comfort and security of your home without the stress of treatment trips to the hospital.
If you choose to provide comfort-only hospice care in your home, we will teach you about your pet’s medical condition and the best techniques to provide comfort until natural death occurs. In doing so, we will thoroughly assess your pet’s current issues and his pain levels. We will work with you and your family to determine special challenges he will face regarding mobility and nutrition. Ultimately, you will learn how to adequately care for your companion comfortably.
If the most appropriate end-of-life decision is to euthanize your pet, we offer in-home and in-office euthanasia. The final day will be emotional both for your pet and your family, so we’ll compassionately provide your dog or cat with a painless passing. Before beginning the euthanasia process, we’ll discuss your wishes for after-care, whether it’s burial or cremation. After your pet passes, we’ll be here to provide support and comfort to you and your family. We can also recommend several grief support resources.
Please feel free to contact us if you’d like to learn more about our Nashua end-of-life pet care services, or if you’d like to schedule a consultation with one of our caring staff members. We know the bond between a pet and its owner is precious, and we promise to make your pet’s final days and moments as comfortable as possible.
